Why, hello! I’m Ellie and I’m a journalist and editor specialising in lifestyle, travel, and food content. Currently, I’m the Berkshire Editor at Muddy Stilettos – the UK’s number one lifestyle website for ABC1, smart, fun-loving women.
Before that, I worked at Bauer Media as a True Life Writer writing across Bella, Closer, Take a Break, and that’s life! magazines. I am also a Maglab alumni with a Masters in Magazine Journalism from Cardiff University, with my MA project on female bodybuilding still being one of my proudest pieces of feature writing to date.
When I’m not hunched over a keyboard, you’ll likely find me eating (I tend to do that a lot), exploring a cool new spot abroad, or curled up somewhere with a good book.

- I got my PADI Open Water Scuba Diving qualification when I was 11 and have gone on to complete my advanced certification too
- Claim to fame: I was a contestant on BBC’s Bargain Hunt in 2024 (spoiler alert: I lost – although £27 richer no less)
- Bucket list destination: Galápagos Islands
- Bookworm? Yes I am. I set up and now run my own book club in my local area (more like cocktail club it has to be said though – shameless)
